Is the Internet Making Us Stupid →

Quick article quoting some Internet "experts" on their views on the correlation between technology and intelligence.

I agree with one of the commenters: as an engineer, I want to see studies and qualitative results, not just opinions.

[Edit] Bonnie points out that a better question is the difference between logical and emotional thought and technology's impact on those two, as well as abstract reasoning.

[Edit] Apparently the Internet is making us smarter: http://www.dailytech.com/Report+Internet+Use+Makes+You+Smarter/article17749.htm

H. Parker Shelton

I'm just an ordinary thirty-something who's had some extraordinary opportunities. I graduated from Johns Hopkins University, work for Microsoft in Silicon Valley, code websites and applications, take the occasional photograph, and keep a constant eye on current events, politics, and technology. This blog is the best of what catches that eye.
