Something's not quite right here...
If you're not paying for it, you're not the customer; you are the product being sold.
No idea why there are 100 cats running around IKEA. I'm not sure if they know. Also not sure if this is a commercial in and of itself.
Graebel just removed all the packing boxes from my apartment. I think it just doubled in size.
A few questions that I've been pondering lately, sparked by a Florida pastor's planned Quran-burning Saturday.
Has he ever read it? It's a pretty safe bet he hasn't. I guess we should just vehemently hate it on principle?
How exactly does this reflect the love of Christ? People in pretty much every denomination of every religion think this is a bad idea.
Would we be upset if people in another country burned the Bible? I'm honestly not sure. We'd probably just airmail them some more.
Someone called into K-Love yesterday and shared a wonderful idea his local churches had come up with. They are banding together to send flowers to mosques in their region on September 11. The events of that day have had as much impact on Muslims around the world as it has had on us. A little better example of loving your neighbor, in my opinion.
In philosophy and logic there is a principle know as Occam's Razor. It says that the simplest explanation is the most likely one. Apparently for one of the world's leading minds (or many), the simplest explanation is that there are infinite universes, many dimensions, and a whole host of mathematics to govern them. That however, is self-defeating. Where there are laws and behavior, there is something higher to govern them. This is Aquinas' fifth proof for the existence of God. And these constructs must themselves also have come from somewhere - Aquinas' second proof.
Don't get me wrong - his books are on my reading list. It's just sad to see someone so brilliant and educated ignore Truth.
It only took another three hours in the DMV, a barely passing score on a written driver's test I didn't know I was going to have to take, and way too much money in new vehicle registration sales tax, and I have plates, a license, and a temporary voter's card. I am, as of today, officially registered as a Californian. And a Republican. And an organ donor.
Pardon me while I go wash my car and take a scalding shower.
Individuality is freedom lived.
